Dark Chocolate Skulls with a Gory Cherry Center

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream (100 calories)
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (102 calories)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chocolate: In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate until smooth. Spoon a small amount into each skull mold, using a brush to coat the sides evenly. Freeze for 5 minutes.

  2. Prepare the Cherry Filling: In a small saucepan, combine the cherries, cherry preserves, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat until the cherries are soft and the mixture is slightly thickened. Let cool.

  3. Fill the Molds: Add a small spoonful of the cherry mixture into each chocolate-lined mold. Cover the filling with more melted chocolate to seal the skulls. Freeze again for 10 minutes or until fully set.

  4. Unmold and Serve: Carefully remove the chocolates from the molds. Store in a cool place until ready to serve.
