Midnight Cheese Balls with Dark Coating

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened (800 calories)
  • 4 oz Goat cheese (300 calories)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped fresh chives (4 calories)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder (1 calorie)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper (0 calories)
  • 1/2 cup Ground black sesame seeds or activated charcoal powder (120 calories)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (0 calories)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, goat cheese, chives, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  2. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  3. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture at a time and roll it into a ball using your hands.
  4. Spread the ground black sesame seeds or activated charcoal powder on a plate.
  5. Roll each cheese ball in the coating, ensuring an even layer.
  6. Place the coated cheese balls on a serving platter. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  7. Serve chilled with crackers, fresh vegetables, or as part of a charcuterie board.
