  • 1 tsp Activated charcoal powder (0 calories)
  • 1 cup Spinach, finely chopped (7 calories)
  • 1/2 cup Ricotta cheese (216 calories)
  • 1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella (170 calories)
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan (110 calories)
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced (4 calories)
  • 1 large Egg, beaten (70 calories)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil (120 calories)
  • Pinch Salt and pepper to taste (0 calories)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Evenly sprinkle the activated charcoal powder over it and gently knead until combined, then re-roll to the original size.
  3. Cut the pastry into 6 equal squares and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Place a heaping tablespoon of the spinach mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of each square towards the center to enclose the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
  7. Arrange the puffs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each with beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
