Nightmares & Dreamscapes brings together a wide-ranging collection of Stephen King’s shorter work, with stories moving through supernatural horror, monsters, crime, dark fantasy, and fears that emerge from ordinary situations.
In “Dolan’s Cadillac,” a man spends years planning revenge against the mobster responsible for his wife’s death. “The Night Flier” follows a tabloid reporter investigating a killer who travels between small airports, while “Crouch End” takes a couple into a London neighbourhood where reality becomes increasingly strange and dangerous.
Other stories include “Chattery Teeth,” featuring a novelty toy that proves far more unusual than expected, “The Moving Finger,” in which a man discovers a human finger emerging from his bathroom drain, and “You Know They Got a Hell of a Band,” about a couple who find a town populated by some very familiar musicians.
