Billy Summers is a skilled hitman with a personal rule: he only kills people he considers truly bad. A former Marine sniper and decorated Iraq War veteran, Billy is ready to leave his violent career behind. Before he can disappear, he agrees to take one final job.
The assignment requires patience. Billy must settle into a small town under an assumed identity and wait for his target to arrive. To explain his presence, he poses as a writer working on a novel. As the weeks pass, Billy begins forming relationships with the people around him and starts writing the story of his own life.
